 KRISTI SCALES, Dallas Cowboys Sideline Reporter

  • Winner of the Blackie Sherrod Lifetime Achievement Award for sports journalism & broadcasting. She and 2017 co-winner Charean Williams of Pro Football Weekly are the first women to earn the award, becoming only the 6th and 7th honorees. Previous winners include legendary sportswriters and broadcasters Pat Summerall, Dan Jenkins, Frank Luksa, Verne Lundquist, and Brad Sham.
  • This 2024 season is her 26th NFL season as Sideline Reporter for Dallas Cowboys games on The Dallas Cowboys Radio Network and her 34th season overall as a member of the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. Her first 8 years on the crew, she served as booth producer before moving to Sideline Reporter for the 1999 season.
  • Talent/gameday broadcaster on “The Fan 105.3FM” KRLD-FM in Dallas.
  • Co-host of Dallas Cowboys’ podcast Girls Talk Boys Talk on DallasCowboys.com.
  • Writer for The Dallas Morning News’ on-line sports section SportsDay.com.
  • During a preseason game in 2002, Kristi became the first female to fill the role of analyst in the booth for an NFL radio broadcast.
  • For the past 23 years, has been a judge for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader auditions as featured on CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team”.
  • Winner of 3 Katie Awards for excellence in radio broadcasting.
  • Has produced three Super Bowl broadcasts as well as international American Bowl broadcasts from London, Toronto, Mexico City & Monterrey. Broadcast from the sideline of the Tokyo Dome for the Cowboys’ American Bowl game in Japan, broadcast from London’s Wembley Stadium for regular season game in 2014.
  • Began her broadcasting career at KVIL Radio in Dallas in 1989 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Speech Communication (magna cum laude). Graduated from Lake Highlands High School (Richardson ISD) in Dallas in 1985.
  • Married to husband, Louis.
