TSLF Awards three scholarships to TCC Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts Students

The Francis Kobty Hospitality Scholarship Awarded to Mateo Serrano

The Francis Kobty Hospitality Scholarship was awarded this fall to Mateo Serrano, an AISD Bowie High School graduate and a TCC Culinary Arts student.

Established by the Kobty family in partnership with the Travel & Sports Legacy Foundation in memory of Francis “The Prince” Kobty, founder of the Prince Lebanese Grill. Francis lived his life with a strong sense of family, community, and hospitality. Prince Lebanese was not just a restaurant; it was the culmination of The American Dream.

The Kobty family wishes to honor “The Prince’s” legacy by offering a Culinary Arts Scholarship to homegrown talent from Arlington Independent School District (A.I.S.D.) or Mansfield Independent School District (M.I.S.D.) to help a student annually reach his/her goals at Tarrant County College. The family will award one scholarship annually to a TCC Culinary Arts student. The full scholarship will cover tuition, books, and support materials. Aziz Kobty will serve as a mentor to the student.

The scholarship will be awarded annually in August. Lean More
